Father we come before you this day with grateful hearts. You are the eternal God- God from ages past and God for years to come.
There is nothing and none hidden from your sight. Even our secret sins are open and laid are before you. Yet in spite of this we can draw near to you, through Jesus Christ, Your Son. We were once a people who walked in darkness, yet now we have an eternal hope, and sure and steady light for our paths.
Father only You could do such a work- there is nothing good in us, no reason for boasting. Thank you for the riches of kindness you have lavished on us. What a humbling truth, that even though there is nothing good in us, You have loved us. May this cause us to continually be satisfied in You, and You only. Thank you Father for bringing us together here in this body, and equipping every single one of us with a gift that we can use for the edification and building up of the saints here at GraceLife. Thank you Father that we have the privilege of being poured out in service of You, to be instruments in your hands. Please make us useful for your purposes, establish the work of our hands and cause it to bear much fruit, so that we would know You more and make You known. Thank you Father that you have known and numbered all of our days, from the first to the last, you have ordained each one- may this be a sweet comfort to us, when the worries of the world begin to creep in, and things seem uncertain. We know that nothing surprises you, and we take comfort in your sovereign rule over all things. We are not a people without hope, because we know You are ruling and reigning even now. Yet Father we know that we have often been fearful and carried away by the cares of the world. Would you please forgive us for that Father. We have often been an ungrateful people, finding satisfaction in earthly things- please forgive us for not finding our satisfaction in you. We confess that we have not lived with a holy reverence as we ought to do- please cause us to all the more draw near to You in humility.
We confess also that we so readily boast in ourselves- our abilities, our health, our family, in anything and everything we have been tempted to boast- please cause us to put our arrogance to death and to boast only in the name of the Lord our God. And Father scene now we think of our brothers and sisters in Cuba, thank you for each and every family who serves You there. We know that the harvest is plentiful and the labourers are few, please cause your word to go forth and abound in such a way that many would call upon the name of Christ. Please raise up more men for the work of the gospel and the service of the church in Cuba. Establish the work of their hands, that they would be a faithful and a fruitful people. Father if it is your will, we pray that you would bring about a revival in Cuba, so that every ma, woman, and child would be a given a heart of flesh, to know and love the living God. Father we also pray for each lady here, that you would cause every one of us to number our days, so that we would present to You a heart of wisdom. We know that our days are brief and fleeting, so please cause us to live faithfully in light of this, redeeming the time because the days are evil. Cause your church to be a shining beacon of hope to a world in darkness. Make us a people who love you- and who love others as you have shown us in your word in 1 Corinthians.
Cause us to adorn the gospel with our holy conduct, and let the favour of the Lord our God be upon us.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
