I recently hosted a baby shower for my daughter. A dear friend had the idea of blessing her with a bunch of meals to fill her freezer for when baby comes!!!
Not only did we have fun and enjoyed great fellowship but everything was so efficient that we all felt like it was a very productive afternoon.
We had several “stations”: on the kitchen island, on the counter, a couple on the dining table and I added a picnic table for one more station. All the ingredients and utensils needed were in place before the guests arrived so that we would not be scrambling around and bumping into each other as there were about 25 ladies present.
Some meals that we made were:
- Meatballs (frozen raw) and 2 kinds of sauces
- Beef stew
- Biscuits frozen raw as well ready to be baked
- Muffin batter frozen in ziplock bags. Just need to thaw and cut a corner to pipe out into a muffin pan in order to have them freshly baked!!!
- Cookie/energy balls
What a gift to give to a new mom or to organize in order to bless an elderly person with meals.
